译序
译者对人工智能编程语言有兴趣，翻译了这本书。
以前学习过Visual Prolog V.4，后来发现第六版本后的Visual Prolog 成了面向对像的语言
了，而这本书中有相关的内容介绍，于是开始读，为学着方便，又开始译，先译了第8 章的
内容，接着索性译下去，就有了这个译本。
我自己的感觉，这本书确实编排繁简得当，讲解通俗易懂，对初学者会有很好的帮助。
译完校对时，有些问题请教了原书作者Thomas W de Boer 先生，得到了他的很多帮助。

上发表这个译本，我觉得这可能会对有兴趣学习Visual Prolog 的使用汉语的朋友有些帮助，
就把这个译本提交给了他们。
我的英语水平不高，译得不对不妥的地方一定不少。好在原书也很容易得到，有不明白
的地方可以对照一下原文。当然，译文中的错误都是我的问题，非常欢迎指出来，便于以后
